Because I am certain that some of you must be tired (or scared) of all of this pregnancy talk and words like "postnatal" and "contractions" and because I love a good list...introducing Friday Favorites!
- My Utmost For His Highest- My mom would read this book aloud whenever we were traveling as a family. I have been reading it for the past several months and have found that the Biblical truths brought to light in each brief, one-page devotional so, so timely for me right now. Financially speaking, we are going through an extremely stretching/trying/difficult time and the Lord has been so faithful to reveal Himself to me as Comforter and Provider through the words of Oswald Chambers.
- Palmer's Cocoa Butter Oil- (I did not promise to avoid pregnancy talk entirely...) My mom keeps telling me that I make a great pregnant person and that I am "meant to be pregnant". Sense some totally natural, grandmotherly ulterior motives here? Well, my short-waisted body would beg to differ, because I have some serious stretch marks right across the middle of my stomach. No fun. But I'm not too worried about it; Eleanor and Charles make it so worthwhile. Anyhow, I found this oil while wandering the aisles at Target. Not sure if it will do anything for me, but it smells and feel absolutely wonderful!
- Enjoy Life Chocolate Chunks- Hands down my favorite chococate chips. I eat a few after breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, baby. (Side note: Second favorite chips are Whole Foods 365 store brand. Third: Nestle. Fourth: Ghiradelli).
- The TED talk summer reading list- I am determined to read at least two books a month. This list will get me started.
- My sister, Olivia, wrote an awesome post/letter to her future children outlining the insane immigration process she is going through right now. It is a humorous and very informative read.
Happy weekend!
